Actually no. I realize the term "conspiracy theories" is practically a trigger word for people to lose their collective shit, but go back and read - there are no actual conspiracy theories about it. Only one joke, and one person wondering if it's a leftover asset from an earlier build of the game. Calm yourself.

Diddy is extremely difficult to play against when someone knows how to use him. He's just so ridiculously fast, especially with that facehugger attack, which has almost zero 'tell'. His extreme speed combined with his ability to attack again immediately after attacking make him...well...pretty cheap. That's how I

The vid with the guy who pulls the family from the flaming car wreck - what's up with the description? It says that they were saved just before the car explodes, and the car never explodes...?
I kept waiting for the big explosion, but instead the flames just slowly grew and overtook the car until it was engulfed

Agreed!

VIVA LE SMASH BROS!!

Greatest game of all time. I'm so hooked on the new versions, even when it's after midnight and I'm in bed, I'll slowly reach for my 3DS and fire it up until my wife wakes up and yells at me for the noisy button mashing.

You mean in between the non-stop articles about the game?

I see what you're saying, though I have not and would not ever suggest that they nerf the game to make it easier for casuals. I've been gaming with serious dedication for 25 years, and definitely consider myself a "hardcore" (whatever) gamer, and I've always loved Smash. There's a certain point though, where it's not

I'm not assigning blame, I'm saying that Smash is particularly vulnerable to players who dedicate far too much time to learning every frame of the mechanics, and thereby "ruin" it for those who don't have the time to do that. If you're on of those people, good for you - but you're not fun to play with, at all.

Right now, I'm somewhere in purgatory between the two. I will say that you're right about the playing with friends thing. Never played online in Brawl because it was so laggy, but in Smash 4, playing great players online has really forced me to step my game up, and I've improved significantly already. So, somewhere

I'd say somewhere around the point where you're not able to get back on the stage because no matter where you try to land, you're just knocked back upward and bounced around like a ragdoll.
Obviously this is worse with floaty characters like Game & Watch, who's my main, but yeah, sometimes people just *will not* let

I've always considered myself great at Smash, but holy cow when you run into one of these people online in a 1v1 match? Yeah... it ruins the fun of the game really quick - some people dedicate days and days to studying every character's moveset and how to respond to *every other characters* movesets, and there's just

Perhaps it was the hundreds of hours poured in to Super Smash Bros. that forced me and my friends to get used to it.
Yeah, it was probably that :P

I dunno, I kinda dug it.

You make some valid points, and I did overstate by saying that I blew $60. I did indeed have some fun with it, so it wasn't all wasted. And I still gotta give a shoutout to the shooting mechanics which are pretty tight.
The rest though....yeah, crazy disappointing. I think, if there hadn't been all the hype, I would've

No see, just because a larger percentage of blacks use Twitter, does not magically imbue Twitter with "essence of blackness" to where questioning the medium for a long essay somehow is saying something "racial". You're just being a drama queen.

NO NO NO YOU DONT GET IT - It's worth getting mad about because the white guy just doesn't understand that the choice of medium is all about race. Because blacks like Twitter, a lot apparently. So you question the medium, you're being racist. Derrrrp because privilege. Which you should check btw. Check your privilege.

But how does whether or not it's about race apply to his questioning of Twitter as a medium for a long essay? That *question* is not about race, yet RebeccaRose MADE it about race. Hence the "you made it about race".

Wait, now Twitter is "largely black"? This thread gets more ridiculous the more I scroll.

Hahahahaha you are an absolute clown. There you go to your "person of privilege" nonsense. He wasn't in any way dismissing the medium that has been oh-so helpful to black people, he was saying it might not be the best way to go about a damn LONG ESSAY THAT'S OVER 40 TWEETS LONG. Get off your ivory throne.

Don't even worry about it - in 2014 it's the natural knee-jerk reaction to accuse anyone and everyone of either being racist or not "recognizing/checking their privilege." It's ridiculous.
