NFC is totally rad. But the "even Google's Nexus line" threw me a bit. All the Nexus devices except the very first one have enjoyed NFC (S, GN, N4, N7, N10). You make it sound like Google was late to the party, Whitson!

I appreciate that he takes his beliefs very seriously, but there's no meat to this story. He wanted a refund, Valve gave him one. I'm filing this next to the adopted kid whose parents went apeshit over Portal 2 and that Marshall idiot from years back who flipped out because he didn't realise FFXI required an internet

I don't think that's correct, necessarily. They poll the community all the time, and it Morrowind routinely tops the list as the best installment in the series. Sure, you always love your first Elder Scrolls title (well, unless it's Battlespire)... but Morrowind had a more fully realised, complex, fantastical world

"This mission just got a lot more cock."

This is super late, but it's worth mentioning: this isn't a battery. Just a cord. It'll charge the same as anything else.

The additional step you're referring to (to explicitly permit connection via USB) is new in Android 4.2... otherwise trying to ADB into the phone will just show the device as offline. I don't believe there is any way around it, although I suppose you MIGHT be able to just hard-boot the phone into the stock recovery

If you had told me last year that Star Wars would be murdered by someone NOT named George Lucas, I'd have been... skeptical.

Most of the time the combat serves the game pretty well. But when it falls apart, it REALLY falls apart.

I'm happy with my pin lock and the fact that 4.2 requires confirmation before you can ADB into the device. Otherwise it'll just show OFFLINE whenever you try, say, 'fastboot devices'. So that removes the easiest way for someone to profit by stealing my phone. Can't turn it on without being data-visible, and can't wipe

I'm not sure how the smart watch will do. Watches are primarily fashion items— and from the number of people I see carrying around hideous, garbage cellular phones with awful UI designs, I'm not sure the average smartphone owner could tell fashion from its opposite. I expect it'll be like Swatch all over again.

Disagree. A watch simply doesn't do enough to justify its presence. I want to be burdened with FEWER devices, not more. And where do you live that pulling at your phone to check the time makes you look like a drug dealer? Can't be, seemingly, any major metropolitan center on Earth, because EVERYONE is doing it, all

I'm glad it's F2P, maybe that'll ensure a decent crowd. Planeswalkers is neat, but super limited. Eye of Judgment was uber-rad, but died off in an instant... THAT one still bums me out! Such a fun game...

Oh good god, I am so excited about this.

The Tali romance is so perfect. The scene on Rannoch, when Shepard decides to take the fight to the Reaper? Flawless. And the drunk Tali scene about Miranda had me laughing for a good ten minutes. This scene, here, is just icing on one excellent cake.

My favorite:

This. This so much.

Oh, that is so great. Grunt is the best.

I'm actually pretty excited about this. As I get older, I think I value random timesinks that don't demand enormous things from me. This CCG looks like it'll fit the bill nicely.

That looks... awesome, actually. I'll definitely give this a shot.

Timeless. The original components of this build date from, um... 2010? 2009? But like any good DIY build, stuff gets upgraded as needed. I mostly use it as a Netflix-maxing, Blu-Ray archiving, fair use abusing HTPC anymore (the rest of my usage cases are my Nexus devices) so my PC requirements are a lot lower than
