10hrs on a cold train is nothing. There were people in south western Ontario stuck for well over 30hrs in a blizzard that whipped up out of no where. Stranded in vehicles that can't run as long as a diesel train, and with 0% visibility, the police or military were unable to get to most people for a long time.
