I'd say that Free-To-Play isn't necessarily toxic to gaming (immediately), in its more basic form. But it does basically require a lot of the extraneous experience of gaming to go to the wayside. You like a game with really good narrative? Something that pushes for really unique visuals? A title that creates a whole

I studied language in high school (Spanish and German), found a great love for language, lived abroad, studied Linguistics in College, went on to work in Localization, and I feel very strongly about global approaches to everything from product development to international trade to language study and documentation, but

It's good. Let kids have more opportunities to discover and follow their passions. Thousands of people took language classes in high school and remember nothing of what they studied, and thousands of others studied computer science to never use it later in life. But there are a few of them who will start to study one

Not sure why this is the stupidest way. There are things called food thermometers that actually make this quite simple, safe, and easy. A deep pot is ideal to fry in. Been deep frying things for years and have only used this method.

The thing about the California sales tax is that California is not going to be so lax as it used to be about sales tax in the state. If you live in the state and you buy something outside of state, you are expected to pay sales tax on it. Period. There is a big push this year for this on taxes, and it WILL come up at

Yeah, I've been thinking about that. I mean, this doesn't mean they actually will sell... but they may. Motorola, to me, was just another great option for Android phones. I don't agree with the assessment that the Nexus line should be Axed, but there is more going on here:

Yeah, I say I'm not quite to the point where I know I am capable of everything I once thought I was (I'm certain I will someday... but I'm a bit jaded and leaning towards a realist stage right now, so I'm not going to feel convinced until it happens), but I am starting to really hit my stride in pushing myself to

The biggest problem to me, and it is a problem I still have to this day, is being honest with myself about what I really am capable of and what I really am passionate about.

For me as well. Both my kids just blow me away with how smart and talented they are, but they still lack a lot of maturity.

Haha, yeah, true. It was one of the games I never knew I wanted until I had it in my possession.

Mystic Quest was actually pretty fun for what it was. It really distills the Final Fantasy experience down to a fun little game that has some surprisingly amazing music.

Yeah, that one in particular is pretty awesome.

Now playing

There are some good examples of boss music from the SNES era of JRPGs, which was definitely a golden age for the genre, that would sound "over the top" if performed for a video game soundtrack today:

Just don't look down!

I see you!

Haha, true!

I presented that as an example of how horrid digging through the audio samples they're collecting would likely be.

These guys spying on people's mics gotta know what they're in for. I have no interest in listening to web users music, activities, conversations, etc. *shudder*

I don't know how I didn't anticipate this response. :P
