So, how well does it work? I've not heard much hands-on about it, and am starting to become very curious.

To me, Infinite has always been about evolving the way stories are told in the FPS, and less about trying to define or evolve the gameplay around FPS games in general.

People love this guy's stuff because he not only makes good mods (and yes, you are trivializing something that is far from simple), but because he makes his process so transparent and easily accessible to others. The mods he has inspired alone is reason enough for him to gain praise, and on top of that he's actually

Quake 2 in Java! Awesome!

You make some good points, but I think it's important to keep in mind that Notch is hardly working alone, and has a bit more resources (in almost every single aspect) than he did when he created that early version of what later became minecraft.

You're ignoring the importance of localizing a product. The game's title is definitely a part of this. Of COURSE the original name is not, technically, gibberish, but when a majority of your market can't tell the difference between gibberish and the title of your game, that's an issue.

I recently tried to play Suikoden and couldn't get into it. I wanted to finish the first one and then play the second, but something about the game just fell short for me. Mainly dialogue, but I'm not too picky about dialogue all the time. And I love JRPG titles.

Those were the days.

That actually is an interesting idea... I just don't see it coming anywhere near the ability of things like aluminum and copper to do the same thing, but with the right heat output and low power consumption components, you could probably stabilize the temperature at some point.

My heart has been changed forever! Thank you!

Yeah, the red fabric seems like a good way to suffocate some components, haha.

That looks like it probably gets really hot.

Well, I admit that the online requirement is a bit of a mixed bag. Just to break the reasons, as I understand them, down:

If Blizzard were treating it like an MMO, then they'd be charging you a monthly fee :P

I've been enjoying it lately. I wouldn't say it is bad at all.

Exactly. Multi platform development is becoming more and more common these days, and the problems it has classically had have become more and more infrequent lately.

Absolutely. Game performance in general would have been much better had it been developed in something like C++ and compiled for each platform independently.

Neat little early preview. Just wish it weren't running on Java.

I did this once, but it was with a soda bottle that had been really horribly shaken up while being transported to a work party. My wife was sitting right next to me, and had just met my co-workers for the first time. I opened the bottle just a tiny bit, and the pressure was great enough to send what seemed like a

Just as I finally got used to the current system!
