I grew up in England in the 80s in small sub-2.0 litre cars. When night first saw an imported ‘86 C4 I was blown away by the sleek profile and 5.7 litre engine. That’s why about 25 years later I bought my own ‘94 that now sits on my driveway.

The 1984 C4 Corvette brought America’s sportscar out of the doldrums. Look at how it has evolved.
The C4 did reboot the Corvette brand very successfully. Kudos to the management team who made it happen.
Summer of ‘84 I worked in the States on a student exchange visa. My boss drove an ‘84 C4, and compared with the cars I was used to in Ireland, it really was like it was from another planet. We might pooh pooh them now, but at the time....
Welp. He’s gonna have to live with that. He’ll never know if he pushed her over the edge or not.
What’s bigoted about a women not wanting to have unprotected sex? She’s not anti-gay, she’s anti-STD. I thought a woman had a right to choose what happens to her body. I guess that only applies if she passes your ideological test.
I’d say the fact that there are no flaggers there makes it even worse. That’s a fast corner and he sits in the car unbuckled for a little while before getting out. With nobody to warn oncoming cars of an incident, he’s VERY lucky that nobody was in a position to hit him while he was sitting there/getting out.
I know we’re all congratulating the guy for trying to help but honestly he broke one of the first rules of being on a hot track. You NEVER get out of the vehicle, unbuckle, etc until the track has been red flagged and cleared. He could’ve easily been killed if one of those cars came barreling through a few seconds…
Less a speed issue and more about the tires basically being plastic because they were way past their prime.
Sunroofs are the wrong answer anyway.
Clearly investigators have to crack this case.
Whistle blowers don’t often go much farther in their fields. Probably best that they take that bit off their resumes.
He was driving it on the road as Lord Horacio intended. Things happen. I rather see this than it trailer to and from events where I’ll never see them.
You want to talk about wasted cars? Remember the Sultan of Brunai (and his fam)? They, at one point, had ten F1s (among many hundreds of other cars) many of which were and are wasting away, almost all completely undriven.
I’d guess the 148 miles was from testing, which still kind of counts as driving.
Of course not. It’s a car.
*And* it’s blue? My god. A deal at twice the price. And is that...a factory 8-band manual EQ? I’ll need some alone-time.
God that’s terrible. Bodies on the grass. I hope everyone comes out ok.

I’ve been saying something simple about this... If the town doesn’t want your business, they can suck a fat one. Don’t give them any of your money and see how their tune changes.
