This is ridiculous. I’m sorry, they drove 3.3 miles one way and lost their jobs over this. If your that sensitive with you car then either A) work on it yourself or B) take it to a real mechanic that you know and trust and not the dealership.

Randy Jones of Moreno Valley, CA dropped his Nissan 350Z off at the nearby Raceway Nissan dealership and returned to…
Yep, I did just this when I bought my Miata. Never drove a stick went to a car dealership, had him teach me how to drive it and spent the next 45 minutes driving around the block until I could safely leave the dealership without stalling. It was terrifying when I got on the freeway but boy did it feel good to shift…
The police had tried multiple times to box him in but he either went around them or hit the other patrol car to get past them. The pit was done out of desperation as he was approaching a major highway interchange. Normally the pit is not allowed according to an interview with the PD chief.
Had the opportunity to buy a 911SC for about $16k 5 years ago, that was in great condition.
That must have looked like the strangest police parade ever
Visiting hours didn’t begin until 4 PM and Tom Coughlin needed to get to bed
“How much does it cost to fill up” should have been on this list. So dumb.
Call me crazy...but I always felt for Jr. when he returns to Daytona. Having lost a parent, I understand the 1,000 emotions that come with it...and I can’t begin to imagine losing a parent in front of the world, in a blink of an eye.
You do realize that NASCAR has a far better safety record in the last 15 years than F1, Indycars, sportscars, endurance racing, motorcycle racing and even monster trucks?
Yeah this was nothing like Sr’s crash. This was closer to Larson’s NNS crash a few years ago, or Geoff Bodine’s crash in 2000
NASCAR’s catchfence just plain works.
I do hope they make him go to the hospital for observation. The only thing I could think of when he walked away was Simonsens crash where he was awake after teh crash then an hour later... dead.
That fan video says it all. TV takes the edge off of the absolute insanity that is auto racing.
Oh, and unlike the Nurburgring: The catch fence did its job. It kept a 3500lb 200mph car on the track.
Except most people are already driving at the increased speed, so there wont be a significant change in gas mileage. For those that are concerned about optimal gas consumption, simply drive in the right hand lane at a slower speed.
Only for big massive SUV type vehicles. For normal, reasonably aerodynamic normal sized cars it’s less than you might think, and in some cases could could probably be improved even more with e.g. taller gearing.
Hybrid’s, brought on by the auto companies themselves.
