It might be an 82. They went to square headlights in 1982 and a major sheetmetal overhaul in 1984. We might have been able to discern 82 or 83 by the grill, turn signals but those are long gone.. perhaps by the vinyl on the side?

Tow bar mounts?
I've theorized for a while now that these vehicles were engineered to continue working *without* regular maintenance, primarily for continued reliable service in the backwoods of Nicaragua or Nigeria but we reap the benefit here as well with beauts like this. As long as they have a charged battery,…
I had a friend in college that, when he occasionally drank too much, the scene was very similar.
Lockers #8?
Dropping it in sideways probably puts less stress on the hull, the entire length of the keel impacts the water at the same time... sending it in nose first would potentially cause the front end to nose dive, then bob up while the tail is going down, stressing it across the middle... think about the scene when the…
Dang, that truck looks like a Mexican Cartel hit squad shot it up.
When are waiters and valets and such going to learn not to write "fat" or "fat girls" where the customers can see it... the PC adjective to use is "big boned".
It looks to me that since the wings are mounted so high, the tail was mounted low to have a lower CG than if the tail were on top. For a "pusher prop" plane like that, it's important to have the thrust force inline with the CG otherwise when they attempt to accelerate, the steering gets wonky.
Ditto, there are a lot of things wrong with basic description as well as the energy equation as you described.
You should find a BJ-40 and take it for a ride as an addendum to this review.
Holy snikeys.
Regarding the vacuum hoses, you must be thinking of the 260Z, which was a mess. They were trying to meet emission standards with carbs... the 280Z was EFI, which eliminated a lot of that mess although perhaps still could be intimidating.
"On Interstate 35 between Austin and San Antonio, no one actually ever goes only the official speed limit of 70. We have a name for people who do: assholes."
Are there any good photos of it anywhere? A profile would be nice.
They look like pretty good drivers to me... I'd be pretty intimidated to drive in that mess and don't think I'd do as well.
