In my original post, I specified a crosswalk without a walk/don’t walk light. This is in itself traffic control device, specifically one that means “pedestrians have the right of way here”.

I’m imagining mail trucks with low speed autonomy that can follow behind the letter carrier as s/he walks their route.

I think most anti-gun people are also persuadable, if given evidence-based reasons for or against a proposed policy.
