Yup. I mostly drive my Tdi in low population density areas, so I worry less about the NOx and carcinogenic particulates. If I drove mostly in urban areas the calculation would be different. Tdi s cause smog and cancer, but are relatively carbon efficient, so contribute less to climate change than most other ICE powered cars.
