Although I don’t excuse the Comcast guys’ attitudes in this clip, I wonder if their defensiveness may have had something to do with working conditions that are imposed on them by the company. (getting dinged if they don’t get it done in an unrealistically short time, or something like that.)

My drivers’ Ed teacher was an idiot. But the one thing he said that always made sense to me is “there is ALWAYS an immovable boulder blocking both lanes of the road just over the crest of the hill” (or just around the bend, or just beyond your headlights...).

We haven’t recovered from Bush the Younger yet. Destruction is always faster than recovery.

When the fairness doctrine was repealed. When networks decided that their news operations were a profit centre instead of a public service.

Remember how Trump said there’d be so much winning we’d get tired of it?

Sorry. Nevermind.

“Nearly 30 years after towering turbines began cropping up in European waters...”

Do snowplows in MN have the right of way when there’s no snow in sight, as in this video?

Trump has often described the job as “running the country”.

“a Dem, ..., won’t usually obstruct other Dems in the Senate”

While Millard Fillmore sighed in the background, feeling ignored.

For now, at least.

Or as a volume, as in “today I shared an elevator with 620 litres of people”!

All of the anti-vaxxers I know (a small sample, admittedly) are conservative fundamentalist Christians. There is no reason to characterize antivaxxers generally as “left wing”.

Actually literally, not just figuratively literally.

According to the guy who wrote “The Art of the Deal”, Trump can’t focus on anything for more than a few minutes.

For steep climbs in deep-ish snow, chains can’t be beat. They tear the hell out of pavement though, which is why they should only be used at low speeds for short distances, or on unpaved roads, and also why they are illegal in many places. I keep a set with me all winter, even though they are illegal here in Ottawa.
