Okay. Lets try to parse the logic of this tweet.

I found her anecdote about her father saving money to buy a house because he didn’t “believe in” mortgages illuminating. I’m a little concerned that she didn’t express an understanding that this is no longer possible for anyone, though it was implied.
I have to wonder what Paul Krugman thinks of her support of Simpson-Bowles.
Audi ads used to make a big deal that the 100 was “designed by Mercedes Benz” with pictures of their very similar interiors.
Torchinsky could buy it and lick it all over.
An exercise in futility?
The main advantage I can see is better MPG in hybrid mode. If your typical daily drive is less than 25 miles, but your trips tend to be MUCH LONGER than 50 miles, and you make a lot of them, the prime could be more efficient.
So true. Republican candidates have been winning campaigns with the same stupid policies and saying the same crazy and deplorable shit (sotto voce) for three decades now.
I know it’s all in fun, but were you alive in 1973? If you had had the joy driving a ‘73 Ford Gran Torino, or Chevy Impala, or just about any american sedan of the era, you would not accuse an Audi fox of wallowing like a pig. For the times, they had a pretty sharp chassis.
If it is legal for someone of Trump’s means to pay no taxes, the laws need to be changed.
I couldn’t agree more.
True. But if you consider the entire race to the presidency as a single, two-part process, she hasn’t won yet. I think that’s the thinking behind E.S.C.’s comment.
It is also possible that you have underestimated the incidence of racism among educated white men. This is easy to do, because they know to conceal it.
I think Endless means the two most recent elections she has run in: 2008 and this one.
Yet, she’s running against someone who can’t credibly claim to be anything but a conniving politician, and is on the verge of losing. “She’s not genuine enough” is an excuse, not a reason. The reason must be... something else.
I think “unlikable” is maybe not the right word. It’s more a deficit of charisma, which makes her vulnerable to the right-wing taunts she’s faced for a quarter century. We had reasons to dislike Romney and Bush. Clinton haters don’t need reasons, just excuses. Benghazi!
s’all good, man.
