What I can remember seeing (probably here on Jalopnik, not sure) is some security camera footage of some guys with a forklift trying and failing to smash some Aptera shells.

The gas tank is really small. Like 5 or six gallons. Not much room there. Yes, if the motor fits where the transmission was, you could put batteries where the engine used to be, but the engine is really small too.

From what i can tell, there’s very little space within the bodywork for the batteries.
