I doubt it's as good as no power assist at all, in a car that's light enough to get by without it.

I remember being TOLD to fear it. That's not the same thing though.

Damn.

I read the paper you linked. Thank you.

I think we need a chart.

Then why does it specify only gay protests? Couldn't an existing law against obstruction or creating a disturbance be applied? Do you really think a law banning groups from gathering at children's libraries to "aggressively" proclaim that faith is good, or that "it's okay to be Christian" would be praised in

Hardcore:

Old building got ambered.

It's true that many school districts have the same attitude as Russia. But not all. Many schools have gay/straight alliances, and there is no national law to make this illegal. Even in the dark ages (well, 1979 anyway) it was sometimes possible for a high school senior to find out about and attend a gay support

How is it not anti-gay to criminalize distribution of information about gay life to young gay people? Especially when the law is interpreted so that "to minors" includes any place or group that might include minors, in other words, "to the public".

To be fair to Vancouver, the nearby mountains usually have snow in the winter. Sochi? I don't know

Experience is the mother of awesomeness!

Good to know. And good to see they've done some planning beyond ensuring they won't miss out on their Heli-skiing. Looks like they have their act together. These days that seems rare.

The impact would be about 5%, I expect.

Dunno. Seems a little too calm to me. I don't know the topography, but I'd be worried about the possibility of that ice dam breaking, and Valdez being inundated, Johnstown style.

"there's the oft-noted problem of the massive population of young men who won't be able to find wives"

It's been a long time since I was a winter rider, but I'm thinking I might start again. Has anyone tried Fluid Film as a winter chain lubricant?

" Just how much snow did these poor souls get? And the answer is... um, some freezing rain with temperatures just below 30 and a high of 37 today."

Awwww! That's so CUTE!
