I can’t agree with your first point. I think that grille, divided where the bumper sits, would look superb. Right now it’s bulbous and distracting.

A lot of these cars end up in aspirational hands that have a lack of talent, budget, or knowledge.
I have to imagine most customers interested in leasing a Audi, BMW, or Mercedes, will be more than willing to pay the extra $40-50 a month for the brand prestige. Cadillac has to provide more than a me-too lineup to compete with them.
