Living in Montana I like my studded snow tires for stopping power on snow pack and icy roads. I drive a 4WD S10 so going isn't really a problem for me. 4 Low never let me down even with all weather tires. But its the stopping on the slick roads I want the studded snows for.
I use Calibre to store all my e-books. Then use the email feature to send them to my amazon email so the books show up on my Android phone and my Kindle touch, and I can sync my place between the two.
16-18 depending on the kid. Might have a cheap tract phone or something before so they can call home if need be.
For me it depends on what brand I'm using. If its the good Stash - English Breakfast Black Tea it only needs about 1 to 1.5 minutes, and I can usually get two cups out of one tea bag. (Second cup needs to steep a bit longer). But the Lipton stuff or cheap Wal-Mart Black tea I just leave the bag in until I'm done…
I agree with another user that said you need a good mechanic and some mechanic know how your self. That way you can do the basics, and save a LOT there, but if you need a mechanic you hopefully know enough to recognize when they are trying to rip you off.
I disagree. Everyone and anyone should be able to live with in their means, but most people don't. They make poor financial and life decisions. Buying or renting out of their price range and having kids before before you are financially able to support them are the two most common ones I see. Outside of that it comes…
We ship a lot of things via UPS and use a shipper account with them. For larger items they usually have the best price unless you can send it media mail. We ship a lot of tubes full of prints with them and they are almost always cheaper than USPS.
I keep most of that in my pickup. I have a green plastic tote with a tight sealing lid that keeps most of it in the bed of my pickup. Tho I don't keep fix a flat but one of those emergency tire repair kits. Comes with some things that look like tar covered strings and a peg all. Also keep a 12 volt air pump to…
I live in Flathead Valley in NW Montana and get pretty good Verizon coverage. Best coverage is in the valley itself. When you get up against the mountains coverage suffers greatly, especially data.
Last time I needed a new mattress I bought a memery foam one off of Amazon. Normly I would have a hard time not feeling it first but my friend had just bought the same one and let me take a nap on it to see if I liked it. I think total with shipping was under 300
I have know several people who move to a different city or state because they are 'tried of all the crap around here'. When really they have caused their own problems by the bad choices they have made
I used iTunes for quite some time mostly for it organizational features
Just found that out for myself
Yah, mine still has a physical gauge. No arrow. No LCD display.
At work we use a shared drop box folder to keep track of the construction laser levels we sell. The bookkeeper enter the info (name, model, date of purchase, and serial number) into a spread sheet and we can access it from any of our 3 stores. This s great for when people need repairs but swear they are still under…
We used to use Carbonite as a backup service at work but it is so slow and the user interface is clanky. When I found CrashPlan's promo for a free year when switching from Carbonite I gave it a try and love CrashPlan. Then discovered I you don't actually have to switch from Carbonite to get the free year so I'm giving…
I need to haul items semi regularly but not enough to warrent a full size truck. So I went with an S10. Also I try to plan my route out so I don't have to back track. Sadly where I live doest have much for public transportation and every thing is very spread out so walking is quite a challenge. To save on insurance I…
I buy generic when it doesn't negatively impact the taste or performance of a product. Don't have kids and my wife works so I don't have to worry about that much. My house came with a 7 day programmable thermostat that probably saves me its cost every winter. I am guilty of forgetting things in the pantry as I like to…
I get about 8 hours a night and that keeps me happy. Try to crawl into bed about 10, be asleep by 11, and wake up around 7. This puts me to work before 9 so it works out great. And I find the older I get the less sleep I feel I need. I'm in my mid 20's now and even 7 hours does pretty good for me. 5 years ago my…
