There are a few puzzles in the conventional sense, though they often have a pretty unique spin. But I would say most of the game treats navigation as a puzzle, find this location, figure out how to get to this area that’s sealed off, learn how to be in the right place at the right time to see something happen.  So not

I commented on Schreier’s piece that his comparison to Return of The Obra Dinn had sold me on it. Having finished Outer Wilds, I just wanted to say it’s a good comparison, and also to thank you guys for pointing me towards this absolute gem of a game.

The woman I love likes True Crime shows. So rather than listening to her, I should evaluate our relationship based on her entertainment choices?

That’s surprisingly light on stuff I need to play. Maybe I can actually whittle down my backlog a little bit.

What surprises me is about half the games in the “Discovery Queue” aren’t released yet. Methinks someone noticed that people tend to buy things that are on their wish lists, and the Good Idea Fairy said, “Therefore, if we can get people to increase the length of their wish lists, we will sell more games overall.”

For a world with only blind people it seems to be a very visual based culture.

As much as I love 4X games, I never really recommend them to anybody because of the Steep learning curve. Although recently, I’ve been playing a game called star Traders: Frontier and even though that’s not a 4X game, it really does seem to scratch the itch for me.

From my recollection people didnt like how DA2 reused battlefields and how the story was much... smaller and kinda detached from the plot of DA1.  But as people have said the characters are great and I found the combat and everything fun.

That said, there is one other point where impatience cost me a few cycles. A point involving racing sand...

I’m sorry I’m a little confused. was the Hack he figured out just marketing it himself?

Because humor is subjective and there are many people who like it.  Sorry that you’re not one of them.

Considering the source, were you expecting anything else?

...and would you have been disappointed if that’s what you got?

The floodgates opened up after that.

I forgot to make the comment when you posted before about Outer Wilds but I wanna say thanks for signal boosting the game. I played through it immediately after release and consider it the purest form of “video games as art.” It’s made by a genius crew of folks with some masterful craftsmanship that I cannot wait to

ROFL....

Wait am I in r/atheism or something?

uh oh, we got a ‘real’ gamer on our hands

Thank you for your gatekeeping service in reminding us what a “real” rhythm game is, and isn’t.

So, you wan’t a retraction or just letting us know?

I don’t like pies and cakes. People think I’m a freak who hates fun.

It’s true.

well excuuuuuse me princess
