I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree then.

Nope, we’re selling TAY to Nabisco.

Thanks to everyone who keeps reading and supporting Kotaku. We love you all.

You bring up some good points that are definitely worth discussing. The conversation over “leaks” in gaming journalism is an interesting one, and one we’ve discussed a LOT internally. (I sit next to Stephen, and he and I have conversations about this sort of thing ALL the time.)

Does it really matter? Credible or not I think it helps to publicize this sort of stuff — both to expose this ugliness and to push sites like Twitter to improve their harassment policies.

I think you misunderstood. This guy threatening your life is actually a sincere cry out for a discussion about ethics in gaming journalism.

When I first discovered io9 in grad school, it was like stumbling into a secret world of people like me that I didn’t know existed. I’ve always loved science, and science fiction, and felt that the two naturally shape and inform one another other. Discovering a site that embraced my weird philosophy on a daily basis

I’m still partial to The Lone Ranger review as a personal favorite, but someone else reminded me on Twitter of the Avatar: The Last Airbender one today, and I was weeping with laughter while reading. She’s my favorite movie reviewer of all time.
