Yes, this. I'm convinced that people keep forgetting there are intelligent, liberal, religious people because we aren't the type to go on crazy rants or do obnoxious shit that gets put on the news.

Because my voice deserves to be heard as well. So yes, #notallchristians with ZERO shame. I'll #notallchristians all day erry day.

Having been raised by ultra-Christian/ultra-Liberal parents I always resent the notion that believing in God also means you don't understand science or marriage equality or vaccinations.

Yes — the old correlation vs causation issue. This is probably more likely indicative of parents who're generally open minded, educated, empathetic, and adept critical thinkers; it doesn't necessarily mean that atheism/humanism/secularism is the cause of those other desirable traits.

We don't agree often but I'm totally behind this. I get frustrated with people who say things like this and it really doesn't make you any better than the super religious people who are saying shit like that about non-believers.

I think that's fine.

I'm glad to see someone bring up Sierra when talking about these things. I grew up on the Kings Quest games (heck, the first computer game I owned was Kings Quest VI) and so it never occurred to me to think that women and game development were these mutually exclusive fields.

By "ethics in journalism" they mean "don't you dare say anything bad about our psycho misogynist stalker fanbase". It also means "don't you dare suggest that women or gays or black people should be represented in games more than they are now", and it also means "don't you dare suggest that women or gays or black

That's the short of it. Gamergate is also pretty tightly tied in to Men's Right Activism and other groups for misogynists. Particularly STEM misogynists who feel that something is being taken away from them by increasing women's participation in STEM fields.

Well this is fucking terrifying. But just another example of being a woman on the Internet I guess.

"More then 2hours and no tweet about all the shit weve [sic] done," one complained.

A few minutes before the tweets started, I had gotten an email from Domino's, letting me know that my pizza order was ready, payable with cash upon delivery. I'd shrugged it off as a glitch in their ordering system. I hadn't ordered a pizza, and the address listed on the order was an apartment I hadn't lived in for a

Do you know what the word "censor" means? I get the feeling you don't.

Because... umm... She stole money from unknowing innocent gamers? Wait, no, she set up a Kickstarter and people were fully informed and supported her by giving her money of their own volition.

Maybe then all the people threatening to leave because one article in twenty mentions something about feminism or minorities would finally leave and the rest of us could finally have a good time in the comments.

PREACH IT! I'm also so sick of these women and their "opinions" on things. They need to go away and be out of the public eye. To be seen (rarely) and not heared. And yet we're called sexist for this.

I'd be embarrassed for my sex if I were a man reading this. Instead I'm just fearful, as usual.

You have a pretty liberal definition of the term "censor them all," especially since you're commenting on a story where she's sharing all of these tweets publicly, not "censoring" them.

The amount of passion in the hate targeting her is as amazing as it is depressing. How could you be so angry over a single person's critique? Is your enjoyment of Call of Duty any lessened by FeministFrequency? Is Bioshock any less fun because Sarkeesian, in her corner of the internet, puts a spotlight on the

A large part of our mission is ruining nearly all forms of fun except those we explicitly endorse, which are mostly made up of obnoxious in-jokes and obnoxiously literary poop jokes.
