Crypt of the Necrodancer

GGers rallying around the game brought GG into this, not me. Once it went up on Greenlight, there was a concerted effort by GG advocates to vote for it just on some kind of principle alone. A snub to "SJWs" it seems.

There is no censorship involved here. No one is stopping people from developing Hatred, and nothing is stopping you from playing it if you really want to. You're just not going to be able to do it on Steam.

Steam is not the government, nor does it control all distribution channels for PC games. The creators of Hatred are free to continue developing their game, but Valve is under no obligation to carry it.

thats my only problem with it. This is exactly the kind of shit people will point to the next time some psycho goes on a killing spree.

Well done Steam.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Greenlight also about Valve, in part, acting as the publisher for the game?

I like how people are saying this is censorship. Valve isn't a government, they can't censor anything. Those guys can totally sell their game on their own website, there's no one saying they can't publish their game, they just can't put it on Steam.

It's a tool to assist Valve in making those decisions, but Valve does have, and has always had, the final say.

If they want to take a stand against needlessly harmful games or, at the very least, make a statement about their stance on these matters so developers/gamers can act accordingly, they need to be more specific. It's not that hard, either. Just a few paragraphs would get the job done.

Some really uh.. special posts on the Hatred Greenlight page before it got taken down...

Labeling a group as though they spoke on behalf of all Christians really seems unprofessional. As a Christian (and very proud to be one), I feel personally offended that the author lumps all Christians into this small group. It's virtually the same type of stereotyping that so many people want to rally against

The right wing fundamentalists are a very vocal minority, though sometimes that is a large minority (like 40% disbelief in evolution in the States).

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm sure that was just yet another instance of a vocal minority making the rest look bad. In my experience, most religious people (from any religion/faith) have few problems with many things that the few loud-mouthed zealots think are evil. Most just ignore it and go about their day,

Which Christian community? I've been a Christian for many years now, and I never thought Poke'mon was "satanic" or any such nonsense.

I am a Christian and I honestly have no problems with most of the media that a lot of religious people call "evil". I have always been a huge Pokémon fan and even my very religious great grandma is okay with it. She really likes that me and my brother have a hobby that we're both extremely passionate about. When I was

It is not surprising the Catholic church decided not to agree with this nonsense controversy. Part of this was based on hatred of evolution, and the church has been okay with evolution since 1950. Catholics also really don't get involved in calling people Satanists anymore. It happens, but is rare these days.

CK2 is one of those great games that you learn as you play. Sure, watching videos or reading up on things will help to a degree but you aren't going to remember or learn what you actually need to know without spending hours diving through menus and actually seeing how things play out.

I've still got my youtube tutorial training wheels on for this. Not that I'm complaining; it's refreshing to have to learn a game rather than have my hand held through quicktime sequences or heavily scripted action bits as is on par for the Xmas season. The proposed RPG expansion looks legit.

I'm just excited to see a Transistor pic up there :D Man i would love to go deeper into that world..
