When has being a wife and mother stopped anyone from indulging in their love of coke?

Stole the words right off my fingertips. I've never found any version of M/D to be appealing whatsoever.

After wrapping up the entire Felicity series on DVD over a month ago (since I'm on a throwback WB-watching voyage right now), I've realized that:

I strongly disagree with this and do think that he's absolutely spot on with his point and the tone that he used to express it.

Spike has always had haters (mostly non-Black, though he has his share of mentally underdeveloped Negroes who can't stand the fact that he holds a mirror up to their shortcomings) due to his uncompromising intolerance of disrespect of Black people throughout his 30-year career.

Simply put, if you don't want to deal with noise, you're better off moving to a neighborhood with strictly-enforced noise regulations.

I doubt that he'd consider it affectionate in the least.

...all while disrespecting the longtime (African American / Caribbean) residents who've lived and built families / communities there for decades / generations.

Or you could head on back to West Bubblefuck where there is plenty of quiet to go around instead of imposing the same suburban standards onto a neighborhood in the noisy city where folks have been living for decades before you were even born?

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the reason why - in spite of his flaws as an artist - I love Spike Lee. He's been consistent with his love, respect, and protection of Black culture throughout his entire career and he's never once half-stepped when it comes to calling racist bullshit as it is.

I'm not sure why some fail to remember this key fact.

A white man disrespecting Black women? Next thing you know, you'll tell me that it never rains in Southern California!

This whole article made me verklempt...

Is she even hot in the UK streets?

I can't say that I'd have the same outlook as her (honestly, I don't know how I'd process it), but I'm certainly not going to condemn her for it. To quote the King of R&B, it's her prerogative.

I'll admit that I hadn't thought of this (mainly because I try my best to not saddle myself with that Strong Black Woman burden that far too many of us have adopted [precisely because the world is cruel to us]), but I'm glad that you did because it adds another dimension to why the knee-jerk reaction to her outlook on

All I'll say about that is that this site's infatuation with that chick has plenty to do with what you've just referenced, which is why this infestation of standom gets a permanent side-eye from me.

Considering that Gabby is the one that went through that horrifying ordeal, she has the right to deal with it however she sees fit. Unless she's demanding fellow victims to reject victimhood and join her on her rape survivor crusade, I fail to see how she's wrong for deciding that she doesn't want to feel like a

While I'll agree with your latter point, talk of the nature of their relationship/marriage had been out there for years prior to his crossover hit so I can't say that that rumor being true is a far-flung concept.

I'll also add to your astute summation that he'd have more luck maintaining his post-Paula fame if this all went down a decade ago.
