In regards to Girls, I take it personally that a whitewashed and hipsterized version of my hometown is being depicted as the real Brooklyn - especially when said hipsters/yuppies have contributed to the gentification (or as I prefer to call it, the attempt to destroy its ethnic culture).

1. Mumbles McGee has some damn nerve shitting on the show that actually provided her the platform to promote herself into an undeserved movie 'actress'.

I also appreciate that his primary focus is making sure that their son can handle the transition well.
It sucks to hear about Todd Bridges and his wife splitting up, as she seemed to be the calming force in his life that helped him overcome his post-Diff'rent Strokes troubles.
I'm sorry (not really), but I am not going to denigrate Nas (or Will Smith, for that matter) for being a concerned Black father that wants to protect his daughter, considering how society (in general) could give two shits about protecting Black girls.
But, we are cool.
By the time D'Angelo blew up as a solo artist, he'd be in the game as a songwriter for a minute so I hardly believe that he had no idea of the industry's trickery. I'm also sure that Angie provided him with enough insight from her own experiences in the industry to know how this business rolls when it comes to…
