In the case of Whitney, all of the praise is deserved.

On another note, this year would've marked the 25th anniversary of this album's release - something that I've always found bittersweet considering that it came out around the time of my own mother's death.

Among other things.

And I'm sure that you've sent a bouquet of flowers and your condolences to each and every one of the families of the 250,000 people around the world before you posted this...?

Well said............................................

Don't you DARE put that out there in the universe.

*temporarily slipping out of my grief-induced haze*

is all I've got to say right now because one of my all-time favorite icons is gone.

After reading Madonna flap her gums about the middle-finger 'brouhaha', I've gone from not caring to applauding MIA for playing the shit out of Madonna instead of allowing herself to get played like Madonna has been doing to artists/people of color throughout her career by using them/their cultures as props.

= your participation in this thread.

No, you simply make no sense and haven't since you started in on this thread.

People who know people who know her personally, which is why I've stopped short of calling it a fact.

Nor could she be forgiven for daring to expect him to actually act like a grown ass man, since he was "poor Crosby being put upon by his bitch of a then-fiance".

Now that I think about it, their portrayal of women is definitely flawed. As much as I do like this show, they can stand to add a bit more nuance to some of their female characters.

At the same time, I found that she'd gotten far more hate thrown her way than Kristina (who also had a prickly attitude) did. That annoyed me enough to call that shit out.

I never watched LOST, but the way that I remember it being promoted in the beginning was as those two being the It couple (a la Meredith and Derek on Grey's Anatomy). I guess those commercials were misleading because I thought that they were supposed to be One True Love.

I found that they hated her more than they hate them - for reasons that go far beyond what is shown onscreen.

That she suffered sexual abuse as well, which makes me see red (to put it mildly).

Hell, she deserves better than this movie.

Well, here come another one of my unpopular opinions - shippers don't ruin shows. Rather, the writers who actually listen to these loons are at fault for having a show go from sugar to shit.
