I’ve never claimed it to be so simple. In another post I mentioned that it would take at team probably a month to implement the required changes in this instance, if going to take a single modder a few months.

If the argument is entirely subjective, then my point still stands and an objective statement is still false.
Caps do not inherently make a game more “stable,” unless you have some weird bug or you tie your physics engine to your framerate, which is a poor way to do things unless you’re a fighting game. Forcing your way around a framecap certainly will make a game -less- stable, so obviously the way to win here is leave caps…
At the price they’re asking, I don’t think that’s unreasonable. What takes one madder a few months should only take a solid team a month.
Except for the part where I did. Please explain to me how my comment shows otherwise in any way.
It’s an “extreme” point of view to expect for developers to -not- implement intentional caps, preventing games from using all of the power available on a specific platform?
Well this is just flat out wrong.
This has nothing to do with “personal tastes.”
The “60 FPS Police” isn’t expecting every game to run at 60FPS on every hardware configuration. They’re pointing out that a game flat out will not hit higher than a specific framerate on -any- hardware, due to an intentionally implemented cap, even if the hardware is…
Frame interpolation is a huge reason why 24FPS works so well for movies. Continuous range of capture means that for the entire time that shutter is open, it’s blending all of the motion and visual data into that one frame. So there’s less difference between one frame and the next, all the data is kinda blurred…
You completely ignored the point he made, yourself. You’re defending stagnation of technology. Just because people made due with AM band radio, should we ignore FLAC, CD-quality audio? Should we ignore stereo? Should we not complain if Spotify decided it was only going to offer mono tracks, since people 60 years ago…
The argument isn’t that every game should run at 60FPS on every piece of hardware.
The argument is that games should not be -prevented- from running at 60FPS or higher if the hardware is capable of it. And that is a very fair viewpoint.
You must have a horrible time understanding the difference between TV/Film FPS and gaming FPS.

The comic is arguing that the discussion of Overwatch vs Battleborn is pointless. Yeah, they’re different games, but at the end of the day, Battleborn is still bad. According to the writer.
I fail to see why the strip should be disliked for this, specifically. It’s not like the author of a comic strip should be…
Most likely by keeping it contained within the dirt cheap two-liter bottle that your kind is all so fond of. Something about it being stuck between your butt cheeks? I mean, you’d clearly be more familiar with the process here.
Lol, okay kid. You got me. I don’t work an office swing shift. I’m clearly full of shit.
Move your juggalo ass along; don’t you have some Faygo to fuck yourself with?
There was no tight mission design in MGSV. There were maybe two focused missions, one with Code Talker and the other with Skullface. That’s it.
If they would have left the open world but added multiple areas with the complexity and craftsmanship that Ground Zeroes’ Camp had, I’d have accepted Phantom Pain more. As it…
So now you assume that people work all day and their shift never ends? Let me ask you a legitimate question here. Are you 12 or are you just dumb as shit?
You’re right, I am god damn entitled here. The law provides me my breaks, and what I do with them is my choice. Many are given the ability to browse the web on that offtime, which means that a large number of those people are browsing sites like Kotaku, io9.Gizmodo, and Deadspin. Three sites which have -always- had…
Do you really think the author of this post cares? I sure as shit don’t. Their article could be one of the most awe-inspiring, mind-opening posts of all time, and I’d still prefer to see them preventing from posting again because of this. It’s utter disrespect towards their audience, not a single thought went towards…
Yeah I can’t believe this shit. Rude as all hell. Utter disrespect for the visitors of the site. Censor the thumbnail, add an NSFW tag, and have whatever the fuck you want in the article itself.
How is this hard? I get that some of these people are amateur bloggers, but come on. Do they really deserve this stage if…
