My stance is simple. I have beliefs just as millions of people around the world. One of those beliefs is that I think it's morally wrong to force people to donate their bodies in the event of their deaths, if their beliefs run against this. It's that simple.

First of all each religion has a belief or custom on how a body should be treated after death. I'm pretty sure you know this but it's clear hyperbole is your thing.

The Middleman! Chuck! um... Krod Moldoon was a good laugh as well.

Well in some countries now there is an opt out law, where everybody is considered an organ donor unless they make a call or fill out a form. I'm not sure about this - on the one hand it treats everyone equally which is fine, but on the other hand you are yet again, on another government list. Please don't get me wrong

That’s a very simplistic rule and is very conditional on what you apply it to – does it work as a general rule? Not so much. We have laws that are for everybody’s benefit and we have laws that protect the rights of the individual. There is a balance.

Saw this about a year and a half ago I think. I really liked it - I thought it was a good, solid, little movie. If it's just being released in the US then that is pretty 'coincidental'.

Fair points, but then you do get estate and inheritance tax so the government generally gets a large cut even after you die.

Ha! Your position is so extreme that you can’t even state it without swearing. It’s one thing having an opinion, it’s another to try to stuff that down other people’s throats by using force or offensive language.

Very well said. I think the argument is not one about beliefs or religion, it's one, as you say, about morals and ethics.

I think there is a question in that who does your body belong to (for want of a better phrase) after you die. Is it the state as is indicated in No.5? Does the state have an argument to say that because you’ve enjoyed the benefits of living in this country that after you die, you are now owned by the state? Even if it

The science may be available now to create some organs, but the technology to produce organs quickly and in bulk isn't here yet. In 50 odd years it will be. As to the rest of your argument your position is a fundementalist position:

From my view it's actually very different. With your example of vaccinations you are not forcing someone to do something because of their beliefs. You are actually giving them a choice which accomodates their beliefs.

I think some of these are genius, some would be very tricky to implement in the real world and some are controversial to say the least.

John Towner Williams you magnificent b*stard. You’ve conditioned me like one of Pavlov’s hounds. Just looking at that picture made me start humming the Indy theme tune.

They're testing us. Alien rat b*stards.

Glad to see Ferrari are maintaining their tradition of painting their cars fire truck red.

That’s pretty damn wonderful – brave kid, great friend and a compassionate author.

Well said. It just kills shows like Fringe. I'm hard pressed to remember what happened at the start of this season it seems so long ago.

Pardon my french, but... b*stards!

Is this what they are gonna be aiming at? Cos if so, i put my money on Miss Piggy.
