It should be a no-brainer that they are not going to adapt third party Star Wars stuff for this. I don't see how folks don't realize this.

True. Authors I know have told me to keep writing until something sticks. But it took three years to write the first one and it is hard to motivate for three years of effort again that odds say will be for nothing. Learning about how publishing really works was a huge demotivator.
