I am guessing his definition of earthshaking is probably a lot more ingrained in his excitement about his subject. About the ONLY thing that the general public would find as earthshaking would be discovery of active life. For a Mars scientist a whole lot of things less than that might be earthshaking.

OK, looks like an agree-to-disagree moment.

Alas, poor Yorick. I blew him well.

Thinking about the scale of that really, really, really creeps me out bad for some reason.

Two completely side notes on this:

All I read is that the dude is excited. And if you read CAREFULLY he is not claiming it will change the universe at all, but instead the way in which these special events were handled. But I guess reading carefully is not easy when you rushing to make a snarky rash judgement post.

I stopped reading long ago but with a lot of this sort of news I get interested again. But the price barrier is too high. I was surprised to find out that somehow Nova became popular again since I was reading comics. He was one of my favorites in his original run.

I just can't see paying $3/$4 for something that I am going to read in a half of an hour.

Yup. Bothered me, too. Against character.

I want to know how much they pay the midget that rides Ballmer's shoulders into battle.

He killed those soldiers as a threat to his power. That's all the evil you need right there in a nutshell. There are precious few people left in the world. He killed a bunch just on the notion that they MIGHT be a threat to his power. So the man has proven he will kill anyone or anything he sees as a threat.

Written by, but as part of the deal George Lucas is giving them treatments (e.g. the basic story outline) for the next three movies and is a paid consultant when making them. Which is good. His general ideas, but someone else writing dialog.

Understood, just seems like a rich vein to mine.

True, but a good point they are making. Comic reads even funnier if you imagine Superman with the voice of Patrick Warburton.

Someone was lazy. Plus adapting a novel means potential royalties to the author....
