They won’t sell thousands of those in America every lifespan of the universe.

I know federalizing a vehicle is expensive, but, you what is also expensive? Not selling thousands of cars every month.
Its nice to be optimistic because electric is the new hotness or whatever. But lets be honest, this is Ford we are talking about. The same Ford that’s hurting sales wise right now because they assumed “Everyone wants a higher driving position! So lets stop making cars!”. The same Ford that screwed customers over on an…
This truck’s cockpit is good enough...
I had a 2012 ... I considered a new one earlier this year but the price difference is insane! Same model with roughly the same options is 20% more expensive! That’s higher than the inflation rate by far!
This.
I’m getting all sorts of mailers now since my lease is ending in 6 months from competing dealerships (and some in the same family as my home one, lol!). I can lease a Ram with a 50k sticker for $150 a month (I get the family discount stuff). They want $450 for a wrangler unlimited with a 45k sticker price.
FCA…
As a RAM 1500 owner with a $50K sticker and almost $10K off MSRP, I can attest to this. There is no reason to go for it.
I can’t agree more. Wrangler sales are down over the record setting 2018, but Ram sales are up quite a bit. When the actual transaction price of a Ram Laramie is about the same as a Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, and a Big Horn can be had for the same or less than a stripped out Unlimited Sport, a lot of people are going…
It’s always struck me as odd that they are so expensive and don’t do anything well. They aren’t cheap. They don’t get good gas mileage. They aren’t reliable. They don’t drive well. The only thing they are good at is off-roading, but that typically requires a lot of aftermarket parts.
When I looked at one it cost more than a BMW. And it drove horrible for a modern anything. They are delirious if they think the Wrangler image will keep moving overpriced recall machines.
at some point maybe corporate America will realize selling $35-55k cars is difficult if there is no middle class
I had a conversation with someone yesterday about cars built in Mexico vs. cars built in the US/Canada. I’ll take the car built in Mexico every single time. The plants in Mexico are better at churning out higher quality cars than their American/Canadian union counterparts.
Author has no idea how to baby. Struggles going to the store in a huge wagon.
I work in an industry where I respond to natural disasters among other things. I’ve attended many seminars on earthquakes and my mind always wonders to scenarios like this.
The data can be seen on each and every time you make it outside to the roadways. It’s full of cars that companies successfully manufactured to meet the desires of its consumers. A lot of those consumers are influenced by women. Women in turn have a significant effect on the design and thought process behind new…
Is the Macan popular with men? Remember, there’s a difference between who buys the car and who drives the car.
That stereotypically “girly car” already exists: The VW Beetle.
I only have anecdotes, not data, but every one of the handful of Macan owners I know is a woman.
I worked at a country club when the Macan first came out. Every single woman member had one if they didn’t already have a Cayenne. I’m not a betting man, but guessing more than 50% of Macan buyers are women.
At the risk of sounding like I’m man-splaining this, in product development, it’s very common to create buying personas and name them. Perhaps the term “avatar” is not a good one, but using a persona is often very useful in the decision-making process. Understanding the gender of your likely buyer persona is necessary…
