it sounds like they should find a higher-paying job then. again, ridesharing platforms were designed as SUPPLEMENTAL INCOME NOT PRIMARY INCOME.

Just because they chose to treat their side gig like a job doesn’t mean uber has an obligation to compensate them. Uber made it clear that driving for them isn’t something you should do full time. Every ad I’ve ever seen has been “hey you can drive every now and then if you want”. Why should Uber be expected to make

you also have to pass a school and buy a medallion that says you are a taxi cab driver while getting benefits and whatnot.

Remember, just because somebody spends 12 hours a day doing something doesnt mean they deserve to get paid a full-time salary for it.

It was never meant to be a taxi service IMO, it was people trying to save on a cab ride, and people trying to make a few bucks when free. It’s a platform to connect vetted riders to drivers, not a worldwide taxi service.

tell these idiots to get a job, this was made for a side gig or to help you look for a job while you collected unemployment. not to feed a family of 6

So they work when they want, as often as they want, for as long as they want.... or as little as they want, as sparsely as they want, for as little duration as they want.... and yet they WANT this to be a living wage? Entitled idiots. Find a JOB, not a side gig.

If these people “dodging” taxes are breaking the law, then they should be held accountable. But if what they’re doing is legal, then you’re the chump for paying taxes unnecessarily.

You’re mad that someone made a sound, legal, and more importantly, logical financial decision? Take that energy and try to fix the system if you’re this up in arms about it, instead of bitching on the internet.

Defend wealthy people? No I defended private property. Property taxes make one essentially and effectively a renter with the government as the owner. This situation hurts the middle class far more than the wealthy. So if I am defending anyone it is the middle class and lower income property owners.

As to sales/use

I don’t respect states with ‘use’ taxes either. Which what it typically is on cars legally. Why a ‘use’ tax? Because they can’t tax a transaction that occurs in another state. If it is truly a sales tax, a tax on the transaction, then let the person who paid every penny of taxes on his out of state purchases via the

I have no respect for states that have property taxes on cars. A Ferrari doesn’t use any more road than any other automobile of its size.

Dodging federal taxes might be unpatriotic but avoiding a state trying to grab money out of your pocket for simply owning something seems like a patriot move to me. Why should I pay more in taxes because I bought a car with my money than someone who spent their money on burgers and strippers?

If he’s in CA, it’s probably for smog dodging, not tax dodging. I’m sure he’s paying plenty of CA tax buying gas for the thing all the time.

Also like, those apartments look like shit...how you affording an F40 but you living in what looks like, one social step above a crack den?

No you won’t! You’ll go in depth about your car and after 45 mins of gushing you’ll either offer me the keys to take it for a spin or take me out in it yourself!

Didn’t really read as satire to me and I’m good at being sarcastic all the time in my posts :)

To be fair, you’ll know it’s satire when it isn’t shit probably due to it being written 5 minutes before a deadline while nursing a hangover.

What a shitpost. Companies are finally acknowledging they don’t need to kill millions of animals to sell a vehicle, they should be getting all the support. Leather is a garbage material as it is, so they should be applauded for using better materials regardless.
