Do you not understand that’s his job? He is PR, he knows what he signed up for. If he hates it he can leave. Work is not slavery.

I don’t understand people with your mindset.

“I just didn’t expect Tesla to put Faraday Future down so goddamn early.” Having any expectations at all about Faraday Future seems like an odd choice.

Frankly, most cops (unless they’re assholes or rookies) don’t like issuing tickets.

Whether to do it or not is obviously up for debate, and there’s absolutely an argument to be made for not doing it, but it should be a personal choice. The idea of ticketing someone for leaving themselves open to crime is absurd.

Yeah, I do this every day when it’s cold... my S2K likes to rev at about 2200 RPM for the first couple minutes; I’d rather wait for it to warm up and for the idle to drop so that I don’t have to pull it out of gear approaching stop signs in 2nd gear for the first couple blocks— plus I figure it can’t hurt getting the

There’s also a big difference between “leaving it running in your driveway” vs “leaving it running in a public parking lot”.

That’s good for you, but I’ll continue to do this in the morning. For me and most others it isn’t out of concern for the engine, it is for comfort. I’d rather leave for work in a comfortably heated car than freeze for 10 minutes while everything warms up. It’s also nice to have the windows defrosted. Also, do you have

Cop - “Congratulations idiot! Here’s a ticket because there is a .0001% chance your car might have been stolen which would have required me to actually work!”

Colorado resident here. I can attest to that Everyone does it. I used to do it at my old rental house (which was off federal, low class area) before I got my house and had a garage for my daily driver along with the weekend cars. I never had a problem.

Brilliant example of “the law is an ass”.

Or, let people fucking leave their cars running, everyone fucking relax, and realize that we aren’t seeing hundreds killed by the scourge that is “people leaving their cars running on cold days.” Jesus.

Well, it seems like the law is against having the key in the ignition with the car unlocked. So the cop would have to enter the property, look inside the car, and open the car door before writing the ticket. I have no doubt he’s allowed to do that under the provisions of the law. I’m just saying that the law is bad.

It’s illegal here in Colorado as well. It’s, rather hilariously and ironically, referred to as “puffing” and is a ticketable offense. Been that way for years, and stops exactly nobody from doing it. When the law was created they justified it not on public safety grounds so much as having to spend money to investigate

Funny you ask. I got backed into in the parking lot of my local library, and the cops didn’t issue a ticket because they said it was private property.

True, if the car is in his driveway the officer has no right to give him a ticket.

Public safety issue? No, it’s a fucking asshole cop issue.

Me driving the car while it’s below freezing inside is one thing. Forcing my two kids age 4 and 1.5 to sit in the car while it’s below freezing inside when I have time to warm it up first is another thing.

So what nugget decided that Roseville cops have the right to trespass without a warrant if they see a car running? You hear gunshots, screaming, explosions? By all means come on over. Probable cause or whatever. If you see my car running, on my property, in my driveway, where my car lives, keep the crap off of my

Let’s not forget the fact that the police chief is also acting like a baby here-
