Crazy what kind of prices OEMs are getting away with these days. Even crazier that people will take out 72mo+ loans just to afford them. And the banks just continue to give them out.

“BUT WAGES DID NOT KEEP UP. So in real money, cars cost too much.”
“The problem is lackluster wage increases and exploding healthcare, childcare, and education costs.”
Sadly, bingo. And with the way financial institutions and govt subsidies work, they will just give you longer and longer terms so you can afford the monthly payments. And at that point, you might as well just lease so you can at least have a newer car in 4 years instead of paying for the same one over 7 years
This is correct. To your point:
This is such a naive and over simplified way of understanding this
The issue is the banks/financial institutions willingness to give out these 72mo+ loans, and govt subsidizing them. Same thing happened with college tuition. Simplified version is because these loans are accessible and have “affordable” monthly payments, because welcome to the modern world where monthly payments are…
Always fun to watch a video of a Polish dude and not have to feel ashamed. This one is great
Few things on top of that too:
Only dozens of us were interested because the manual was only offered on the 2.0T and not the 3.3 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
If anyone ever makes an off-road “take the roof and doors off” vehicle that’s actually worth the sum of it’s parts and doesn’t include a $10,000+ “emotion” tax, it will sell like hot cakes. If you take $10,000-$7,000 off Wranger MSRPs at pretty much every trim, and then compare them feature for feature with the…
Ding ding ding we have a bingo
“>Too many people, myself included, are yearning for the days of true compact pickups,
Give me a compact pickup that’s not priced like a full sized pickup and I’ll gladly buy the compact. They don’t even get better gas mileage so why would anyone get the compact for the same price as a full size.
Some people think a Jaguar E-type is the most beautiful car in the world. I think it’s a base model, white, single cab Ranger. This thing belongs in a museum. Whoever designed it deserves an award
“A new compact Ford pickup was previously reported to be expected to start under $20,000 for the base model”
1st gear: “But having a backlog of interested parties before the vehicle arrives at dealerships isn’t that tough to do.”
I love that people think a fully loaded, special edition, track built, Mini GP is too expensive at $45k but a low/mid spec Bronco is a bargain at that same price point. Y’all are hilarious
It’s so refreshing to see someone understand how the car market works. The Bronco will only pull buyers who were crazy enough to spend $40+ on a Wrangler that comes with wind up windows and a tiny infotainment screen, so they can take off the doors. That’s it’s. Their market is people who want to take off their doors,…
Which again “artificially” decreases the number of manuals sold. If you can get a car already on the lot, and get a discount because it’s sitting on the lot, you’re much more inclined to take that auto.
