Eh, I just GIS'd. I'm not sure what year the Econoline I drove was, but it was poorly maintained to say the least.

My old boss asked me to pull this around the lot and in front of the loading bay.

Nibbled.

Aw hell, when I realize I'm being surrounded by aggressive drivers on city highways I instinctively turn my thumbs to the outside.

Ah, I thought you were trollin' saying that mountain biking is stupid. Sorry!

It does NOT work in a '01 Imprezza unless you're 5'4".

That's quite a long logic stick you've got there!

Making baseless internet comments really is a terrible hobby.

That's one other stupid dinging bell I can live with - the headlight warning. My car doesn't have daylight running lamps, so I always drive with my headlights on. While I always manage to put them on when I start the car, my brain seems to forget to turn them off every so often.

And that's perfectly fine. I'm just saying that it's not a bad thing that the feature can be disabled for the few people who have that particular need. You shouldn't disable it unless you have a compelling reason and have never forgotten.

My car is getting older, and sometimes (sometimes! not even near warranting a trip to the auto parts store) the doors don't latch shut - especially the trunk. They look shut, but aren't.

I sometimes drive my car on a trail to get to my friend's pond. It's about 2 miles long, and while it's a very easy cleared path to drive on with no traffic (at all - it's my friend's property) it's to be driven very slowly.

The logging truck flipped - clearly it was going too fast for its load and the road conditions.

Wow, a ton of believers in reckless idiocy here today.

Speed doesn't kill, but differences in speed does. This is precisely why we have speed limits. 77 in a 25 zone is extreme no matter what car you're driving.

TOTALLY agree. He's even quick to respond to personal emails. Great addition to Jalopnik.

Have you ever been the victim of a hit and run? Insurance is usually quick to side with themselves, and either will let you foot the entire repair, or will be 'generous' and allow you to pay the deductible (my deductible happens to be... $500!). Hell, a large tree branch fell on my car a few years ago, and I cannot

Sectional bumpers could look FANTASTIC on a lot of cars - maybe even on otherwise beige cars like the Camry. It's more opportunity to bring in the brand's design language through functional bits.

Some say he's nuts and bolts. Others say he's my cousin. All we know is, he's called Johnny Five!

You know what? I'm totally fine with bumpers caving in and getting scratched. Bumpers shouldn't be one big plastic piece though - if they were three pieces and EASILY and readily replaceable (with pre-painted pieces) for the cost of manufacture/distribution, it'd be fine and great.
