@sg1969: Many jobs in the US (especially waiting/waitressing) have pay far below minimum wage (and are legally allowed to do so). Tipping is built into the salary structure. In some instances, tipping is actually required by law (called gratuity, usually due to large dining parties of 8+).

@paperless: The perfect time to refresh your bookmarks!

@jethro1138: I was going to write something about getting outside once in a while, but this is even better. Not only does it give you a reason to get out, but you also get a lovable playmate that breaks up the monotony while inside!

@2 replies: Fair enough. I don't consider myself trolling on this topic though - I wanted to have a conversation with the fans here who saw the film as a massive letdown. It legitimately interested me enough to make a post here (I try not to waste my time).

@2 replies: I read most of the article. I didn't even know there were books. Either way, when things cross over into different formats and different expressions, things change and get lost along the way.

Okay, here's the deal: When you take a television show with multiple seasons, and try to recreate the whole story in a 2-hour movie, things get cut.

@rathat: Odd. That's rightly outrageous!

Tipping $10 and 3+ coffees a day? Seems like you could rent an actual office space with internet service in some cities for that much coin.

@rathat: You absolutely CAN get more than just novelties in PA. I crossed the border two weeks ago and got a trunkload of fireworks.

@blehbleh13: Word. I was LOVING the idea of these as dumbphones, as those things usually suffer from terrible interfaces. Sad that these are priced into oblivion even at $30 because of crazy data plans.

@failtroll_is_fail: I don't see why people are ever concerned about the price of smartphones... the data plans far outweigh the cost of the phone, many times over.

I've thrown my enV2 across a gymnasium. Still tickin'! I suppose "You get what you pay for" is inversely applicable in this instance?

@Chad Parks: Let's not get into THAT debate. I would rate most arts to be around the same investment in terms of time, effort and skill.

It's always been disappointing to me how disconnected art photography is to "art" in the art world. $7mil is what a lot of singular paintings earn at auction.

@sharkkk: They just fixed it - it wasn't working before.

I miss the days where special effects didn't take place in the computer. Don't get me wrong: CG is a fantastic tool. I just think it has become a crutch over the last decade or so.

@Pook365: Actually, I checked the comments made on the YouTube link because of the above commenters, and the creator of the video wasn't running the UDK in real-time. It did take ~3 hours to render. I wasn't even aware the UDK could run like that.
