We like to bag on these late 70s luxo barges because they are slow and handle like a waterbed, but they are absolute please on long interstate journeys.

I would love to find a clean one and take a long road trip.

Why do I love watching cars fall apart on the drag strip? I’ve now gone down the rabbit hole of Youtube drag strip failures.

I suggest multiple roadside assistance policies, through AAA your insurance company and whoever else you can find. You should be able to get towed the whole way.

Watch CHiPs they wreck tons of late 60s cars because in the late 70s they were cheap.

Want to lose your mind? Watch “The Americans” and spot cars that were made later than the year the show is set in. In one scene they blow up a Caprice made in 1988 or later in 1983.

Because DRLs are a tool of the Devil, I turned the Devil lights off on my car.

This a great answer

The takeover agreement will be signed on a train car but don’t worry about that.

Speed Holes Duh!

Even worse is the general public attitude that a bridge is fine unless it has collapsed. “I drove over it last month it was fine we don’t need this repair”

Unless that bridge, tunnel etc is on a federal highway or interstate, then the Feds can tie the funds to specific project. Bad bridge on state route 85 up to the state, bad bridge on Interstate 85, Feds can say “Fix the bridge here’s the money and we are withholding future expansion funds until it is done”

Exactly

Agreed, but everyone opposed screams “How are we going to pay for it” The truth is we have to fix this and we have to pay for it, so start fixing it and find a way to pay for it.

Part of the issue stems from the fact that the government is more inclined to invest in new projects. Ribbon-cutting stuff. Rebuilding an old bridge isn’t glamorous and it doesn’t usually get you a glossy front-page photo.

Hmmm....Have to start looking for these at the Pull A Part

No mention of the Seiko TV Watch? How much more 80s can you get?

So terrible, it is tempting

If he is having issues telling the runway from the taxiway he needs to hang it up, one has a big number on it the other doesn’t.

If it catches fire would that be considered heart burn?
