Ignition points, condensers and coils. Gapping the points is a pain in the ass and any little dirtiness on the points can make the car run like shit or start hard in the cold.

I think that they came to the realization that they didn’t NEED to offer the mythical $35k model 3. The idea of it scored political points but any Tesla at that price wouldn’t sell well because Tesla buyers are typically well off enough that they wouldn’t get the base model. 

I think that one issue with the bike market is the lack of a middle ground. There is the ultra low-end WalMart stuff and then the high end ‘local bike shops’.
