I’ve never heard anyone say that Castle is a good show, just that they love the interplay between the two lead actors. If you want to save money wouldn’t it make more sense to formally end the show and not spend money on an aborted season fans of the show are honor-bound to revile?

$53K is livable - in Topeka. You can’t support a family in a major American city on that little. These are skilled workers and market rates grossly undervalue their contributions. Particularly when people are routinely working 80+ hours a week.
