I have limited dev experience so I came to learn some time ago that a bad game is more complicated than: "This game sucks!". That said, the only valid criticism that can be leveled at dev directly is either a failure of imagination, acting in bad faith, avarice or, in the case of AC:U or H: MCC, all of the above.

Like freaking Bogart and Bacall right here.

All 36 people who subscribe to Sundance Channel will see the Spirit Awards. Oscars will nab what 300-400M viewers worldwide?

All this high-minded analysis in the comments is unnecessary.

I can no longer see a photo of Beiber and not think of that blonde chick from SNL pretending to be him.

This is the one time I'd actually prefer to see a movie version of an original concept as opposed to an abortive attempt at a video game.

Enough with the tattoos. Are there tattoo parlors at the bottom of the sea?

"refreshingly linear"?

Appreciate you sharing your experience and I understand your intent. However, I would only say that when you say something like, "Never once did I see Riley as "black", what people of color hear is: "I am not bothered by the fact that Riley is not white."

They let ethnics into your department stores? You must live on the Upper West Side. Tsk.

You give her too much credit. I think her talent just indemnifies her from all the stupid shit she's spent the last couple of years doing. She's smart enough to hire good PR people. I will give her that.

If you were about to jump out of an airplane and I let you check the parachute I minute before the drop zone would you have a problem? FWIW, a review embargo is a vote of no confidence from the publisher.

Exactly. I'm referring to virtually every single thing she's done before this performance.

I see what you're trying to say but Valley Forge, as others have pointed out, is one specific place. African American History is literally everything about a significant part of the country's population. It's as broad as Jazz music in New Orleans and as narrow as the works of August Wilson.

Tucker? Really? Did your parents want black people to snicker at you your entire life?

The onus isn't on random youtube streamers not blabbing about a particular game. The onus is on developers making a AAA title that offers what gamers come to expect from a AAA title with a AAA price tag. Regardless of who leaks what when people go play good games. And people find out that super hyped, cinematic

It's a common practice because movie and game studios routinely release products they know to be inferior. Movie companies always hold media screenings of new movies for prominent critics unless they already know the movie is shit in which case they don't have press screenings. Developers always give advanced copies
