It’s just speculation, we don’t have any confirmation that Z spent any amount of time in actual development. With the way the Zygarde formes were thrown into SM, however, it certainly did feel like they were intended for something more.

It’s very likely it was scrapped early on and the general concepts for the game

TPC doesn’t have internal development teams, you mean Game Freak in this case. Also, Nintendo does not own the majority of TPC, it’s ~33% per company (Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak).

It will most likely be like Emerald and Platinum where the timeline is moved forward slightly from the original pair, so more facilities are finished (those empty plots!), but the story plays out mostly the same with some new tweaks.

That’s exactly my point, though. They featured stories that were alternate versions of the events in the base pair. BW2, as you said, were different games altogether, not “an alternate story.”

Seeing as the games still feature the same protagonists, it’s definitely not a BW2 situation. In BW2 the time difference for the sequels was driven home with alternate protagonists.

Every third version after Yellow had more and more differences from the original titles, which is part of the reason so many people were

You should probably refrain from saying that when E3 is literally only a week away.

Yellow, Crystal, Emerald and Platinum were also alternate stories. It’s not a chronological sequel like BW2, it’s the original 3rd version concept split into two games.

I fully expected this. A quick port to tide over Switch owners and start migrating MH fans to the console before the inevitable MH5 just makes sense.

What alternate universe version of Hearthstone are you playing?

Yeah, Nintendo published W101. It’s their IP, though Platinum may have partial ownership of it, much like Kirby (HAL/Nintendo) or Fire Emblem (Intelligent Systems/Nintendo). There were even W101 trophies in Smash Bros.

I would want nothing less from something Dragon Quest related..

North America has had three releases so far:

I currently play around six different physical TCGs (none of which are Magic, however), and making up your own rules has never really been much of a selling point in those games at all. Most people simply stick to whatever the current competitive format(s) are, with the occasional sealed or drafting events. For most

For better or for worse, the game is basically no different from a real life TCG at this point. The required money investment is practically identical to the majority of physical card games.

Yes. We don’t know *exactly* how it works yet, but it’s called “Spell of Restoration,” named after the old school password system in the Famicom DQ games. So it’ll most likely be some sort of password, but it could also work with uploads to a server or something. Either way, it allows for cross-save between the two

It’d take more than human sacrifice to get a Dragon Quest game on Xbox. Square Enix’s philosophy with DQ has always been to only produce titles for Japan’s most popular platforms in order to best cater to the franchise’s incredibly diverse fanbase.

The story is identical, but each version is to confirmed to have a handful of defining traits, like a StreetPass feature on 3DS. It makes a lot of sense to bundle the games because 3DS and PS4 will be able to cross-save. You can play 3DS on the go, come home and then continue where you left off on PS4.

All of Blizzard’s online services are 100% active to this day. They’re easily one of the most reliable gaming companies in that regard.

That’s what I wanted, but it’s apparently not the case.

At the PAX panel they were pretty clear that this Gilgamesh originates in FFXV’s world and has a history with Cor. He’s not the silly world-hopper we’re familiar with.

We actually got confirmation in the recent GameInformer interview that some Gladio gameplay is being added into Chapter 13 as part of the promised revamp.
