The game is actually alive again outside of Japan, you know. Kaijudo is a completely rebalanced DM with nearly the exact same game mechanics (newer cards are beginning to introduce more original concepts, however) only with a new continuity and lore behind it.

You may be interested to know then that WotC licensed Netrunner to Fantasy Flight Games a while back and they've since converted it into a Living Card Game (LCG). So it's more or less alive again. I don't personally play it, but I've heard good things.

Yeah, it is, in fact, pretty OP.

DM or Kaijudo knowledge would certainly help someone transitioning into MTG, but the games are not "baby Magic." They've got their own level of complexity and aren't simply a dumbed down version MTG. Anyone who thinks that has clearly never played either of them at a competitive level, especially when it comes to

You're twisting the facts and/or misremembering a bit there. Satoshi Nakamura (a former Japanese Magic pro) did some work for Wizards on Duel Masters and then later went on to design both Weiss Schwarz and Cardfight!! Vanguard for Bushiroad. Akira Ito (who used to work with Kazuki Takahashi on the Yu-Gi-Oh! R manga)

Definitely my pick for this season, too.

Since the Gen V Global Link was already shut down several months ago, XY outclasses their online functionality in every way and you can still transfer your Pokémon to Gen VI without WFC they're easily among the least affected of any games.

I second this. The GameCube controller is probably the greatest gaming controller ever made. It's nearly perfect in every way.

They actually only own the terminology, "tap, untap, etc."

Numerous other TCGs not produced by Wizards also turn cards 90 degrees for the exact same reasons but simply refer to it differently. "Rest and stand" in Bushiroad games like Vanguard and Buddyfight, "commit and ready" in UFS, "exhaust and unexhaust" in Battle

Yep. Poképla. :)

There's a couple reasons why it could be different this time around. It's definitely a question if you know enough Pokemon lore. The adjectives don't really mean much, perhaps in the eyes of Game Freak and TPC they merely denote a revisit to an old locale and theme and not necessarily a retelling of a previously told

It's the typical Blizzard "for the many, not the few" philosophy shining through. They'd rather not spend the time figuring out how the realm firsts will work (since connected realms make them sort of a headache. Do you give the achievement to first person on each realm the achievement? Do you only give it to one

They didn't remove his realm firsts, he's simply referring to the recent decision by Blizzard to not include realm first achievements in Warlords of Draenor, and most likely other expansions going forward. They cited reasoning such as behavior similar to this players', they're not even sure what counts as a first

At least it's been announced for the West, poor Dragon Quest X can't even get that. D:

He would probably have way more than 900 or so street passes if he wasn't working at the conventions and events he goes to. Since, ya know, his job > checking StreetPasses.

Actually, I believe that jacket belongs to Captain Marvelous.

Nope, everyone's still in the dark in regards to anything DQ. The most news we've had is some trademarks filings in the US which are suspected to be the mobile games recently released in Japan and a listing on the ESRB website for DQ I & II on mobile platforms.

You lost me at "A handheld for a discerning adult customer." I'm really getting sick of the Nintendo devices are "kiddy" or "immature" attitude always floating around. It's, quite frankly, goddamn ridiculous. Nintendo devices have a Nintendo feel and that's what makes them so great time and time again. I could rant

You've got me wrong. First of all, those lore retcons don't come without serious headaches, just ask Chris Metzen. But that's not really what I was getting at, anyway.
