It could be a phase or it could be 'non-traditional' gender expression (i.e. a girl or woman who likes things that would be considered 'masculine'). There's nothing wrong with that. There's also nothing wrong with telling your niece that she can express herself however she wants.

At five, I wanted to be the knight in shining armor, not the princess. At eight, I wanted to be Batman, not Catwoman. I knew I wasn't a girl, but I wasn't exactly a boy either.

That's a really great quote. Thanks for sharing it.

There's a difference between gender identity and gender expression. Identity being 'who you are' and expression being presentation/appearance. There is some overlap, but they're not necessarily the same thing.

I too have a family legend about Blackfoot ancestry. Some family passed through Canada at one point and ... yeah.

No way. There is no way that something this cute exists.

I never have. Ever.

Everyone hates her now so she must bow and scrape for some inexplicable reason, I don't know. Makes me want to flip a tiny table.

I know that and I'm in my twenties.

It's equating a woman's anatomy with 'badness'.

More 'masculine' words like 'dick' or 'prick' tend to read as gender neutral. Male nouns are often read as neutral/default in many languages, including English. Calling a woman a bitch or a cunt is simply not neutral because of that.

A man is literally being called 'vagina'.

English is never not in flux. ;D

27 here and I do it. Midwest state.

Lol, the rationalizing of how 'cunt' is not insulting a man with femininity or femaleness is fun, isn't it? The meaning is still there even if you don't think it is, folks.

I'm going to agree with your disagreement. It's definitely the 'go-to' word for certain types of men — and I've seen women use it in the same way (i.e. as the worst insult possible).

Mm. Right. As someone who was born a woman and is now trans, I'm going to tell you something:

It was only until I recognized the architectural style of the house that I went "that's game footage?"

From what it looks like, this is a rather personal and subjective project by the creator. I don't think he was trying to be offensive. In fact, it almost felt like the Yama guy (skeleton dude) was that inner voice one gets while suicidal, that little bastard egging you on. And the characters you were trying to 'save'

Did anyone else get the idea that the creepy skeleton guy was depression/suicide itself? If you've been in that sort of situation, you'll know what I'm talking about. That awful voice that says you're worthless... It seemed like a meta-commentary on the whole thing. And the other voices seemed like 'inner voices'
