Nintendo doesn’t have to add the Play Store if they fork Android. Fire OS doesn’t come with the Play Store either. There is only Amazon’s own store on their devices. In the same way Nintendo could only have its own store on its device where only apps that were approved by Nintendo can be downloaded.
Nintendo doesn’t need to build its own OS from the ground up, they could for example fork the Android Open Source Project like Amazon did with its Fire OS. By adding their own app store to it Nintendo could maintain full control over the software that’s running on it while achieving compatibility with existing popular…
Last time I checked most games of big publishers sold pretty well, so they can’t be that bad at judging of what will sell and what not.
Maybe people should simply stop buying early access games based on what they promise and start buying them based on that they currently are.
All what the Xbox One, the PS4 and modern PCs share is that they are using the x86-64 architecture. This means that the CPUs of all three systems share a common set of instructions, that everyone can understand and process. Wow, that’s really bad. I am quite satisfied with the version we got in Germany, the dramatic tone at the beginning is way better.
This is quiet impressive. Just look at the github page of this script. In just 8 days, 66 people made over 870 contributions to the code. I have never seen an open source project growing that fast. They also build a leaderboard to monitor their running games.
Even Metroid Prime: Hunters looks more like a Metroid game.

Behind the scenes:
It would meen that the new device could launch with already hundreds of titles in its catalog. Assuming that it would be some sort of touch+boutton based mobile device, developers could port their existing games like for example Hearthstone with very little effort to Nintendo’s new device.
The security of your system should never rely on the assumption that the attacker doesn’t know anything about it because it is a closed plattform. You can find unauthorized software and pirated copies for most consoles despite the fact that non of them were open plattforms.
That is because most Android builds allow the user to install apps from unknown sources which aren’t the play store or the store of the device manufacturer. Also most manufacturers dont really care if their customers unlock the bootloader and change things inside the OS.
There are many tutorials how to build your own Nintendo Zone/Streetpass Relay. Here are some examples:
Here in Germany discoveries of undetonated bombs are part of the daily live. On average, every day 15 bombs are discovered. The more spectacular findings in recent history were a 1.8 ton “block buster” bomb in the Rhine in 2011. They had to build a small dam with sandbags and 45000 people had to be evacuated. The over…
