I don’t have the Hubsan X4 but I built a very similar quad and it’s a lot of fun to fly around the house.

The Hubsan x4 FPV has a controller with built-in video receiver and screen and costs 130$. Also, the channels on a RC radio have nothing to do with the functions of the quadcopter. I have a 2000$ quadcopter and you could easily fly it with a cheap 6ch radio and still use GPS etc.

Two years of testing? That is hugely exaggerated. It probably takes 20 minutes to try a few times to land a micro RC plane on this thing (Waterproofing the electronics is quite simple). And that’s easy compared to landing a RC plane on a Helicarrier:

I’d like to know more about the cable. A DJI 800 has a hover power consumption of about 800W so it needs at least 1000W. Considering the cable is 150m long and thinner than a headphone cable are they using high voltage? And wouldn’t that interfere with the data connection?

That’s standard procedure if you have GPS on your quad. I don’t know if the bebop simply doesn’t do that (it has a GPS antenna) or if it’s because of the “known security flaw” mentioned.

Not enough for a feature not many people need. This is the first time I heard of that request and I had my SP3 for about a year now.
