This doesn't make much sense. The metal case of a PC is probably the only recycable part. Inside this cardboard box you still have all the PCB's and chips which are all impossible to recycle

I think I know why I found learning to fly quads was hard: I built a tricopter with a KK2.0 board without knowing how to set the PID values. I crashed it a lot. Smaller quads like the nano qx are much better to learn flying.

Yeah it can be a lot cheaper. My FPV wing cost about 50$ because I built it from depron. And it's extremely durable, I crashed it around 10 times so far!

the real limitation is the video transmitter, not the remote control. This tiny video transmitter only has 25mW power. I've got a 600mW video transmitter on my tricopter and I've got 3km of range.

That's a good FPV plane but a completely different thing! A bigger FPV quad would be more relevant to this post

Dude.. You should have taken the surface pro 3. Its way better than the 1, comes with a type cover and has a very silent fan.
