That's right but McDonalds and Burger King almost have a monopole on burgers (at least here in Germany). If you want a burger you will most probably go to McD or BK because there are almost no other options.

Is ordering half a pint really a thing? In germany (especially bavaria) one pint is already called 'one half' (=Eine Halbe). If you can't handle half a litre of beer why are you even ordering one? If you try this here the only thing you get is a disbelieving expression from the barkeeper.
