I think that was another problem with perception that XIII had going in, this idea that the more open environments of Gran Pulse was the part when the game really starts. It’s just not that kind of RPG and expecting it to be this massive, free roaming thing is just setting yourself up for dissappointment.

Incorrect. Melee combat, fighting games, sports games, MOBAs, etc. are all garbage in first person.

It’s easy to see Fantasy novels adapted into video games, I want somebody to blow my mind by taking genuine literature and adapting that. Some David Foster Wallace, Dorothy Allison, F. Scott Fitzgerald, etc.

I’m pretty good at abandoning games once they’ve become boring or repetitive; games are stupid cheap now, and I will forever have more games in my steam library than I could possibly finish in a lifetime.

I actually like XIII—though I think the story is nonsensical and most of the characters aren’t super likable.

I would trade Wonderful 101 and zombiu for Xenoblade chronicles X and affordable space adventures.

I, for one, am really glad that Konami is continuing MGS by themselves. There’s still a lot more that can be done with the franchise even if they stick to spinoff games like this and rising. While I think this whole thing is supremely stupid and I don’t think guns belong anywhere in our society, it strikes me as odd that your right to own a firearm is constitutionally protected and owning a fake gun is not.
