Turn based combat was not the problem. Plenty of games had turn based systems and did it better than 7.

Thank fucking christ. I was worried they were just doing the graphics and leaving the rest alone.

If you skipped over the text for the Kingdom Hearts trailer, this sentence made very little sense. I swear I read it 10 times before realizing it was referencing the thing above it.

Well, Ryu was because they had data for it hidden in the disc and Smash fans started sifting through that the second they got it.

All the other leaks are for the same reason news and pirated copies of movies always end up on the internet: With so many hands needing to touch a project—CG artists, PR, show floor crew,

Eh, it could have been worse. The real problem is that people saw a fairly empty Wii U and 3DS line up and expected them to fill it with surprise announcements. We got a few, but they weren’t the level of surprise announcements anyone had hoped for.

If Microsoft publishes a new Blast Corps, I just might have to buy an Xbox One.

I think the lesson should be to stop backing projects that are too big. If a local musician already has an album written, recorded, mastered, and already available on soundcloud but he wants to make a limited printing of vinyl copies... That’s a very clear and doable goal. These kinds of kickstarters are fine and

Gotta respect somebody that comes hat in hand to humbly request that you pitch in to help make his vision a reality. Absolute class act.

I don’t see why this is so much of a problem. I’ve played hundreds of hours of Hearthstone without paying a single penny, they gotta make money somehow.

Origin does, but it's only on EA games.

Makes sense. In fact it’s probably a really smart move.

Now known as Paper Mario.

So did my wife, she now has a masters degree.

Ughhh, I seriously hate people typing “lmao” outside the context of chat. It makes you sound like you're in middle school or that you lack confidence in what you wrote prior.

Yes, but it doesn’t have to “work.” If you genuinely feel strong enough in your convictions, you won’t want to buy their games, and it becomes a non-issue.

I'll also admit that I'm willing to buy an EA game at some point in the future... Provided they make one that I care about.

You know, when I said Mass Effect 3 would be the last EA game I ever paid money for (a small protest that has nothing to do with the ending and everything to do with how they monetize their games and content)... I stuck by that.

You say that as if the choice was yours to make. I would put money on the Phatom Pain being the last original console release from Konami... maybe they do a few more PES games, but nothing beyond that for sure.

You will see them... as pachislot machines in Japan.

Those arguments are far from relevant in this situation.
