I’ve been waiting for the nostalgic return of PS one and N64 style graphics. I feel like there’s genuinely something neat that can by done in these styles.

You know it’s 99% of the time in jest or in reference to the zero punctuation video right? Most of the PC gamers I know either own, want, or appreciate consoles in addition to PC gaming... and yeah, some of them still say “console peasants” or “PC master race.”
Most definitely. When you start the game and there's like 10 minutes of close ups on faces, it's really cringe worthy... But when you start running in that enormous open world and see all the variety that's in there, it can take your breath away.
I don’t care even the slightest. Xenoblade on Wii wasn’t much to look at either, but that didn’t stop it from being one of the best JRPGs of the past generation.
Only those that are impatient. It’s really not that big a deal, if you have a decent internet connection you’ll have the game fully installed and ready to play by the time most people get home from work.
A true remaster of a game this size would not sell enough to justify the work needed. They should, however, just release it on Wii U as a VC game. I bet the Jaggies and textures are less offensive on a gamepad screen.
As opposed to the 20 years of gaming magazines and websites covering AAA games that are 1-5 years away from release?
I couldn't decide between shovel knight and snake, but now I'm totally voting in bayonetta
Ok, I haven't used Origin outside of Mass Effect 3 so I didn't realize that.
Steal Origins 'no questions asked, 24 hour' return policy.
Fantasy violence is so far down on the list of problems for kids at that age, it should not even be dignified with acknowledgement. I'm far more concerned with 10-12 year olds getting involved in real world violence and gang activities, not getting a proper education, and not having real goals to work toward.
I don't know the laws over there, but over here in the US ratings are a guideline and aren't legally binding in any way. Your kid might not be able to purchase them on their own, but there is nothing that says they can't play them with parental consent.
Did you play Dark Void Zero? Single best use of blowing in a DS game.
You're not alone, that's what I thought too.
I kinda felt like this was going to happen, but it's still really disappointing.
You're right that it wouldn't happen with Microsoft, because MS would push something out the door before verifying whether or not the matchmaking worked.
That's being a bit nitpicking in my opinion. I think it's great that companies like Rockstar go all out in the little details, but not every company has the luxury of 5 year development cycles.
I also love that game. I think it got a lot of flack because so many people thought it was going to be the game that justified the new consoles; which is nonsense because it was clearly possible on the older hardware.
