Did it ever occur to you that the Beyhive reacts that way because the rest of the world is so fucking eager to diminish her and everything she does?

Most of the negative criticism towards JP developers isn’t about game development, tho, but about how the releases are handled. Squeenix is famous for dropping shitty ports on PC, for example, with terrible graphics and mobile interfaces - and none of that has anything at all to do with game design. Just as well,…
To be fair, at least some of the tiling issues were proven to have already existed in the original game - only the low res, small screens, and CRT TVs used back then didn’t make them noticeable, while the washed-down graphics of the release version made them more visible.
They keep logs of every single interaction, tho. You could’ve contacted them again about it, having proof you had been offered such a thing.
Amazon US customer service has gone way down in the last decade, tho. Back in 2008 it was stellar, these days... nope. Not really.
This is the first-world-iest first-world problem I’ve seen in a long while.
Also, Amazon tells you when your items are expected to arrive when you place an order. Just saying. When you check out, they have this part that says “ITEMS ARRIVING ON,” with the items underneath.
Heck, they even put it on the item pages…
I think the problem isn’t that there are no shows that can compete with what you just listed, but just that you’re old.
Handmaid’s Tale...I might not watch the new season? Since the first one was a full adaptation of the novel, and now it’s totally new stuff. I feel like it robs the final scene of the first season of its power by removing its ambiguity.
I feel the same. I’m not sure I *want* a second season of that. A single one was good, the drama was interesting and all, but... I can’t see a second season being interesting.
There are shows that demand a second season and shows that don’t, and I feel Dark should have been put on the latter group. Along with far too…
Thing is, while you might think the movie is better than the book, The Martian isn’t a bad book. In fact, much of the protagonist’s snark is lost in translation when turning the story to film. Some of us who are into science actually enjoyed the explanations given, particularly because they never became overtly…
I’m impressed Forrest Gump didn’t make it here. The film is considered a classic and beloved by many, but the book is pure trash.
The film is an uplifting storyline, while the novel is a terrible attempt at a funny tale with situations so patently absurd (Forrest goes to space with a gorilla, then they crash land onto…
There’s plenty of very nice people in that game. You just need to stay away from the hardcore crowd, as that one is mostly made up of assholes who look in a videogame for the success they can’t quite accomplish in real life - so they go toxic when they don’t. And even then, there are *some* nice people among the…
I’m loving this.
I believe the positive effect not just Minecraft, but online games in general can have on people with Autism is something that should be better researched. I have asperger’s myself, and in my case it was WoW what helped me learn to deal with people, along with a job I held for a year or two selling…
I think what he’s going after is that Paradise was considered an excellent arcade racer (in the vein of NFS: Most Wanted,) but not a very good Burnout game thanks to difference in mechanics. Paradise was praised for its open world and lots of stuff to do while other Burnout games were praised for... well, dunno, I…
You’ll be sorry you gave his book space in your shelf the next time he delays a videogame. Which will likely be tomorrow, as Jason doesn’t really take a break from such hijinks.
Uh... and? Your point being?
No lines*
Games are code, and code is counted in lines.
Nah, Brandon Sanderson will have it out within a year when GRRM’s heart gives up and he croaks it. Sanderson probably has both books written already, biding his time.
This problem isn’t GRRM’s fault, tho. I don’t even like the guy as an author (too much overwriting for my taste, though his stories are pretty good,) but I wouldn’t blame that mindset on him or anyone of his caliber.
The ones to blame for that are publishing houses and smaller authors (but mostly publishing houses.) I…
I gotta try this. Well, I re-read Philosopher’s Stone about two years ago but didn’t go on with the rest.
I did re-read Stephen King’s IT last year (I first read it at fifteen, about fifteen years earlier) and noticed it read waaaay differently as an adult, tho, so I know where you’re coming from.
You as a person might not need to hear those reasons, but society does. All of these men are writing excuses, yes, but those excuses are in most cases what led them to the situations they’re in. “I thought she was just playing hard to get” might be the shittiest excuse of the lot, but it’s worth listening to because…
