I’m really annoyed that article quoted him at all. Dude is a nutcase who is just there to troll the subreddit and the game’s players. I’m not just talking about the show. There’s a whole book series as well, if you’re gonna compare Dune to anything it should be the book series.

That Game of Thrones/Dune comparison is a serious disservice to the actual GoT/ASoIaF series.

Between this and the “Friday the 13th: The Game fans are outraged” story from yesterday, I’m pretty over the “Gamers on Reddit are angry about X” genre of article.

It sucks because there are definitely valid complaints to have with this game, but most people in that sub just don’t know how to raise those complaints without being complete assholes about it and/or demonizing the people who made the game.

Always try and tell people who are being toxic assholes to quit it and play the game, and 100% of the time without fail the response I get is “shut the fuck up faggot piece of shit” or something to that effect.

Crossing my fingers they keep the episodic release format. It really made the game better, and there’s a weird schadenfreude satisfaction in watching people complain about and miss out on a fucking amazing video game because “I don’t want to support this model of release.”

I’m not gonna be super excited on this one until I see gameplay that isn’t just an Arkham-style mission of “stealth predator takedowns” and “group counter-based combat.”
