If it is only lasting minutes then you are using the wrong battery. Two 9.0Ah batteries should get you at least 45-60 mins. I don’t think I’ve ever used a corded Wet/Dry Vac for more than 20 minutes at a time.  The batteries charge super quick, as well.

Any comment on the Sound Kick's usability outside?

I was going to do the setup, inside and out. I really didn't want to spend that much, but I can't find anything worthwhile for outside (that is relatively inexpensive).

I know it's not waterproof or anything, so putting that aside, would this be good around a pool/patio? I've been looking for a decent wireless speaker for our patio for a while (one that won't break the bank) and most of what is out there is crap. How does it compare to the sonos, if you know?

Yeah, but [box.com] has crappy file size limits and, if I recall correct, no free desktop program. It's great if those 2 things don't bother you, but for many people they are both deal breakers.

If you have kids, this is a great option. It's cheap enough that you won't worry about letting them use it.
